The Warrior Open 2023 – Should I be competing?

As we have new students joining the Association at different points throughout the year, we wanted to clarify the participation requirements for The Warrior Open, which is taking place on Saturday 11 March 2023. Participation is mandatory for all students who started training with us on or before 31st December 2022, as they would have had the time to train and prepare properly in class with their instructors. However, for anyone who started training between 1 September 2022 and 31 December 2022, if you do not have sparring equipment, then you are permitted to enter the Patterns Division only, if you wish. For our newer members, it is not compulsory to enter, although you are most welcome to take part. Parents, if your child started with us, on or after 1 January 2023, and you wish to check if they are ready and able to participate, please contact the Admin team Office@deSilvaTKD.com who will liaise with their club instructor to confirm.
