ITF England National Championships 2025 – Registration
17 December 2024Competition Training with Master de Silva
15 January 2025The Warrior Open is back on Saturday 8 March and Sunday 9 March 2025, at Byron Hall in Harrow Leisure Centre.
For those new to our academies, the Warrior Open is an International Taekwon-Do Championship hosted by Master De Silva, along with our dedicated team of instructors, Black Belts, and volunteers.
Rhis event offers our students an incredible opportunity to compete against some of the world’s top Taekwon-Do athletes. Last year, we welcomed seven world champions, and this year, competitors from South America and Asia have already confirmed their participation.
The Warrior Open is a requirement for grading for De Silva Taekwon-Do members from Yellow Belt onwards, and attendance is expected as it’s not only a unique opportunity to compete locally in London, but face some of the best competitors, not just from the UK, but also from around the World.
Tournament participation is an important element of training for all our students allowing them to practise the skills they learn in class.
Our Lil’ Warrior students (3-6 years) and our White Belt or White Belt with Yellow Stripe students will not be required to compete, but of course, they are invited to come and watch and support our other members. They will be taking part soon enough, so they can get a sneak peak at the action.
There will be two disciplines, Patterns and Sparring. All yellow belts and above will be expected to participate in both events.
All competitors are divided into different categories. These categories are based on gender, age, grade and height or weight. This means that students will only compete against someone of roughly the same age, experience and size.
The event is spread over two days, but students only need to attend on the day which is specific for them.
-
Black Belts (all ages) - Saturday 8 March 2025
-
Yellow Belts & Above - Sunday 9 March 2025
Each day will be spread into different sessions of roughly four hours, and both events will be held in the same session. Students can attend for their session alone, although being present for the whole day will give them the opportunity to support friends and other students in different sessions.
Confirmation of which categories will be provided once entry is closed, and the draws are published on Friday 28 February 2025.
