AETA English Open 2024 – Tournament Report

The De Silva Taekwon-Do Interclub Championships will be held on Sunday 24th November 2024 at the Brunel University Sports Park.
The Interclub Championships is for:
Lil’ Warriors (5-6 Years), White & Colour Belt Cadets (7-13 Years), Juniors (14-17 Years) and Seniors (18+). This competition is exclusively for De Silva Taekwon-Do members only; is a unique opportunity to compete against your fellow students and is the safest way for you to stress test the skills that you have been training as well as learn valuable life lessons about confidence, perseverance and self control.

CATEGORIES AND ENTRY FEES
All competitors will participate in two categories; Pattern and Sparring. All beginner students (10th Kup – White Belt & 9th Kup – White Belt with Yellow Stripe) will be given the option of competing in the Sparring division and all Lil’ Warriors, White Belt and White Belt with Yellow Stripe students will be provided Sparring Equipment.

DRESS CODE & EQUIPMENT
All De Silva students must wear the academy’s tracksuit* (top & bottoms) upon arrival, and change into either their Black Lil’ Warrior Uniform (5-6 year olds on the Lil’ Warriors Programme) or White De Silva Taekwon-Do Club Uniform (7 years+).
IMPORTANT – All students Yellow Belt and above must have their own Sparring equipment in order to participate in the Sparring event. If you are missing any items, please speak to your club instructor or contact the Admin Team at office@deSilvaTKD.com, who will be able to advise you on this. Required Equipment list:
- Black or White uniform as applicable.
- Headguard
- Semi-contact gloves
- Semi-contact boots
- Mouth guard
- Shin pads
- Groin guard (males)
