The Black Belt Pre-Grading will be conducted by Master de Silva and will be held at the Wembley Academy on Saturday 28 September 2024 from 14:00 - 15:30.
We've schedule the pre-grading to allow students enough time to travel between venues if they train on Saturdays. Alternatively, those training in Ealing on Saturdays can choose to train in Wembley on grading day if it's more convenient for them.

TESTING
Attached is a breakdown of what you can expect to be tested on. Are you completely comfortable with the entire syllabus? Is there any area of your training that requires additional attention of focus?
The pre-grading will focus on the traditional elements of our Black Belt syllabus:
- ITF Tuls
- Traditional kicking techniques (Base Kicks, Jumping and Flying Kicks)
- Traditional striking techniques
- Traditional blocking techniques
You may also be assessed on:
- Freestyle movement and striking; and
- Sparring
You will not be tested on Self-defence Techniques and Power Breaking at this stage. All successful students will be tested on these elements at the full Black Belt Examination.
DRESS CODE & EQUIPMENT
Students are to wear their De Silva Taekwon-Do Club Dobok and have their belt and True Warrior sparring pads for the Grading.
FOLLOW-UP
After the grading, all students will have a Pre-Grading Review with Master de Silva, where he will go through your pre-grading with you. Providing specific feedback on your performance.
*Dates and times for the Pre-Grading Review will be arranged once the Pre-Grading is complete.
