AETA English Open 2024 – Tournament Report

On Saturday 5 October and Sunday 6 October, members of De Silva Taekwon-Do attended the AETA Open English, held in Haywards Heath. Across the 2 day event the team were coached by Master de Silva and Sabum Thomas and they entered all events to get a rounded experience.

This was a very high level event, featuring current and future members of national squads and a number of experienced competitors. Our students were complimented on their level but also and importantly, on their attitudes, showing great sportsmanship and a desire to give their best efforts but also to enjoy the event.

The tournament was well run and kept to a timed schedule to keep the entrants engaged and the parents and supporters entertained. Our thanks go to Master Lear for the invite.

Out of 5 competitors we were awarded 5 medals.
