Thank you to everyone who has registered to compete at The Warrior Open. With over 500 competitors from the UK and around the world expected to compete on Saturday, The Warrior Open organising committee have released a provisional timings for the day.
Timings
The doors will open from 8.00am. Below are the times that you are expected to be actively participating in the competition. All competitors will need to be in the venue and ready to compete before these times.
All session times are provisional and may change. We advise arriving at the venue with plenty of time to arrive, settle in and warm up before you are called for your divisions. Every effort is being made to ensure that these timings are achieved, so you can plan your day around these.
If you would like to come early/stay late to support your fellow Warriors, please feel free to do so.

If you are late, and you miss your division, we will be unable to enter you for another division and a refund will not be provided.
Competitor Wristbands
All De Silva Taekwon-Do students will be pre-registered and have their height & weight checked in class. You do not have to register on the day of the Tournament itself.
All competitors will be provided with a competition wristband in this week's session. Please keep this wristband safe as you will need to wear it at The Warrior Open.
Spectators
Spectators will also need a wristband so if they wish they can buy this in advance which means on Saturday morning their queuing time will be limited because there will be a separate entrance for competitors whose details have been checked already and spectators who have already booked their passes.
- Spectators: £5 per person
- Children 5 years or younger: Free
- Each of our competitors is entitled to 3 pre-sale tickets.
Equipment & Clothing
As per our Club Rules. De Silva Taekwon-Do students will only be allowed to compete in True Warrior, approved Doboks (uniforms) and sparring equipment, as well as a Top Ten Head Guard.
Doboks
- All competitors must wear a white De Silva Taekwon-Do Club Dobok (uniform). All competitors must arrived in their Dobok and be ready to compete.
Safety Equipment
- All students must have their own gum shield.
- Any student who is registered in the sparring division must have their own sparring equipment.
Equipment List
- Semi-contact gloves and boots
- Top Ten head guard
- Shin guards
- Groin guard (males) that must be worn inside the Dobok trousers.
- Gum shield.
Tracksuits
De Silva competitors who have a tracksuit must wear the academy's tracksuit (top & bottoms) upon arrival, and have their White De Silva Taekwon-Do Club Dobok underneath.

This is a separate building, which is accessed via the car park, not the main Leisure Centre.
Refreshments
There will be a refreshments stall at the venue where you can buy sandwiches, snacks and drinks.
Parking
There is plenty of space in the car park, but with so many attendees, please make sure you allow enough time so you are not in a rush.
The first 3 hours of parking is free, but you will still need to get a ticket from the machine. Should you be staying longer you can top-up via the PayByPhone App.
