On Saturday 25th January 2025, The Open Dutch competition is taking place in Helmond, Please see below some key information to consider:

€45 (colour belt competitors)
€55 (black belt competitors) - Deadline to Register: Wednesday 8th January at 17:00
This competition is open to all yellow belts (8th Kups) and above.
Weigh In Information
The organisers will be running a weigh in session for registration on Friday 24 January 2025. The time is TBC.
If you cannot attend on Friday, then a second registration and weigh in opportunity will be on Saturday 25 January from 07:15 to 08:15.
Both will be held at the Venue.
Travel and Accommodation
All travel and accommodation will need to be organised individually by those attending this competition.
The closest airport is Eindhoven. However, there are easy transport links from Amsterdam.
Equipment
All De Silva students must wear the academy's tracksuit* (top & bottoms) upon arrival, and change into their White ITF Approved Taekwon-Do uniforms before competing.
*If you don’t have a tracksuit please contact the office to check if we have any available.
All students must have their own complete set of Sparring equipment prior to registration.
Equipment list:
- Headguard
- Semi-contact gloves
- Semi-contact boots
- Mouth guard
- Shin pads
- Groin guard (males)
Additional Information:
- It is never a guarantee that the organisers will provide food or refreshments to buy on site, therefore we recommend bringing your own sandwiches, snacks and water. There will be local supermarkets to purchase water and food.
- We advise against bringing any food with any kind of sauce as it may leak and possibly stain your uniform.
