If you are looking for instruction in traditional ITF (International Taekwon-Do Federation) Taekwon-Do, we offer expert tuition by fully qualified and insured instructors for people of all ages and abilities.
Whether you think you may be the next Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan, want to learn self-defence, or are simply looking for a great way to get in shape and stay healthy, we are confident that we will have a class to suit you.
Whist most instruction is only offered from the age of five and above, for even the youngest martial artists we have the unique Lil’ Warriors class for 3 – 5 year olds, developed exclusively by Mr Johann de Silva.
Johann de Silva
Johann de Silva, ITF 5th Degree Black belt (GBR – 5 – 1030) set up the first De Silva Taekwon-do Academy in West London in 1998. Still based its original location at the St James Church Centre in Alperton, Wembley, the academy continues to go from strength to strength, and the exploits of the students who have become affectionately known as the “Wembley Warriors” are regularly documented in the local press. Mr de Silva has been the personal student of the Secretary General of the ITF, Master Trevor Nicholls, (GBR – 8 – 1001), since the age of fifteen, and has had the privilege of representing the UK for over ten years, winning medals at both European and World Championship level.
